Mirror Book"Mirror Sailing in AUS" The definitive book of Australian Mirror Sailing
Many of you will know that Peter Russell, one of the Mirror Class' longest and most enthusiastic supporters both in his home of Canberra and at a National and World level, has been compiling an extensive history of the people and goings-on in the Mirror Class. From the introduction of the class in 1964 by Frank Buxton, to the 2012 National Championships and everything in between, "Mirror Sailing in Australia" has it all covered.
Peter has been tireless in his pursuit of people to interview, regatta results, newspaper and magazine articles and everything that you could possibly want to know about the class. Can't remember where you came in the 1978 Mirror Nationals (at Brighton and Seacliff Yacht Club, of course) ? Well there is not just a copy of the results but also a regatta report, plus photos. Ditto for every Nationals and Worlds held since 1966, plus the builders, sailors, administrators, t-shirts, cartoons and more...
Typical of Peter's generosity, he has provided the book free as a download (PDF) on the links below. Professionally printed copies and spiral bound photocopies are also available - contact [email protected] for details.
